Overview

The Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering provides a preparation in the basic disciplines (mathematics, physics, chemistry) and a technical training that provides the necessary skills to interpret and solve the problems of civil engineering (in the areas of structures, hydraulics, geotechnics, transport and building construction).
The programme prepares to use standardized methodologies independently and to collaborate with experienced engineers in the design of civil works at advanced and innovative levels.
It trains engineers capable of designing, supervising the construction and providing for the management and maintenance of structures, infrastructures and civil works of various kinds.
Occupational opportunities
The graduate will be able to work in different professional fields, such as assisted design, management of technical-commercial organizations, dealing with plants and civil infrastructures in freelance professional activity, as well as in companies and public administrations.

Programme structure

Study tracks:

- Civile
- Civil Engineering in cooperation with ENSTP

Career opportunities

The graduate in Civil Engineering is able to:
• design, supervise the construction and provide for the management and maintenance of civil works;
• formulate and solve problems typical of civil engineering using established methods;
• choose and apply analytical and modelling methods to design problems typical of civil engineering characterized by a medium level of complexity;
• apply their knowledge to the development and implementation of projects that meet specific requirements, based on an understanding of design methodologies in the fields of structural engineering, hydraulics, geotechnics, building construction and transport;
• choose equipment, tools, technical documentation and sources of information useful for solving civil engineering problems (e.g. development of civil engineering projects or parts thereof that are not particularly demanding);
• operate effectively as member of a group and communicate effectively with the people and the various actors involved in the design chain.
