Overview
The Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Engineering starts a training course (which can then be completed with a master’s degree), aimed at the design, management and testing of machines and plants for the production, distribution and use of energy in the various forms (mechanical, electrical, thermal, chemical), also evaluating its interactions with environmental, economic and regulatory aspects. Students must therefore acquire a solid basic preparation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, as well as in the technical-scientific fields of industrial engineering such as electrical engineering, heat exchange, machinery and plant engineering. In the industrial processing it is essential to have scientific instruments useful to operate in a coordinated and synergistic way with other scientific fields (such as, for example, civil and environmental engineering, biosciences, etc.), so students will also need to be intellectually open-minded in order to face the continuous demand for innovation in the energy sectors. The fields of study and employment are connected to the application aspects of energy in terms of economy and consumption, conversion and use in machines and industrial and civil plants (electrical, mechanical, thermal), environmental impact, generation and use of alternative and renewable energies.

Career opportunities
The Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Engineering provides the professional skills and competencies necessary to carry out activities in which energy (electrical, thermal, mechanical, chemical, etc.) represents a product or a medium of significant value. The Energy Engineer quickly finds a place in all sectors of the industry that produce and distribute energy, in the technical offices of public administrations, in manufacturers of equipment for the use of heat and cold or for conversion and energy production, in companies that produce electrical equipment and systems. Other opportunities are offered by technological innovation, environmental monitoring and reclamation, professional studies dealing with civil and industrial plant engineering or environmental impact assessments.
