Overview
The graduate student in Natural Science can be defined as a “scholar-worker-researcher” able to integrate the biological and abiological aspects of the environment in which he/she has to operate. His/her interdisciplinary competences allow encompassing environmental problems in a uniform way, where each single component is related to the other ones. At the end of the educational cycle, the graduate can apply the scientific investigation method to different environmental components, and retrace the history of both past environments and human-nature relationships; can evaluate ecosystem structure, functionality, and evolution to restore and maintain natural balances; can efficiently operate in territory.
Career opportunities
Graduates will open to professional areas such as teaching and naturalist divulgation; natural parks, and botanical gardens; environmental analyses and monitoring: in environmental research centers and institutions, where acquired competences will enable them to deal with both physic-chemical-climatological and biological analyses.
